Are you interested in making $100 per hour teaching online, even if you don’t have a website, students, or you’ve never taught before?

That is what James Liu is asking in his ground-breaking teacher-coaching.

But is it really possible? Well, I had to see for myself.

Teach the English language online as an independent tutor. Increase your earning potential and work from anywhere in the world! Take me to the challenge!

What is The Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge?

The Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge is a relatively new concept established by James Liu. This is a 21-day challenge in which teachers watch one new short video every day. By the end of each video, they have to complete a task to help them develop their teaching business.

James is heavily involved in the process, and teachers even get a chance to speak to him privately by the end of the challenge if they’ve followed and completed all the steps he outlines.

James Liu inspires others to start their own teaching business and charge the rates they truly deserve. He insists that teachers can do this in as little as three weeks. By the end of the challenge, teachers will be prepared to run their own teaching businesses!

The best thing is that you don’t need teaching experience to do this. Many traditional and non-traditional teachers join this challenge.

What Does the Challenge Cover?

  • How to define your niche
  • How to craft your marketing message
  • How to develop your curriculum
  • How to acquire new students by marketing yourself (no paid marketing required)
  • How to improve your mindset and think like a teacher-entrepreneur
  • The essential sales script you need to convert prospects into students.

How Much Does the Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge Cost?

The 21-Day Challenge costs $197.

It really is not much money for the value you get from this course. I’ve tried so many entrepreneur-related courses in the past that were disappointing and just left a hole in my pocket. I do not just hand out money easily unless I think something is truly worthwhile.

This course went above and beyond my expectations and really delivered a high-value course with phenomenal support for the 21 days.

Who is James Liu?

James Liu is not a teacher, but he had spent many years learning ESL as a non-native speaker.

After graduating with a Ph.D. from Harvard University, he worked as a senior consultant at Simon Kucher and Partners, helping other companies overcome the challenges they faced with pricing, sales, and marketing.

He still attributes much of his success to his ESL teachers, who helped him when he moved to university in the US. He said that no amount of exams or education could prepare him for the “real thing”– moving to a foreign country and having to speak the language in everyday contexts.

He recognized the value that teachers bring, and he says he would not be where he is today without teachers. So he set up the Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge to show teachers how to command a higher price for their services.

How Can Teachers Earn Higher Pay?

There are so many general tutors for the English language, which causes price wars and drive the price down. It can be hard to differentiate one teacher from the next.

James Liu encourages teachers to specialize as ‘niche’ teachers. This means that teachers focus on becoming a coach or thought leader in a specific area. More students are likely to sign up for the teacher they think suits them best, based on their needs.

For example, think about a general practitioner and a medical specialist. If you have a particular problem, you may prefer to go to a medical specialist who is trained in dealing with such a problem.

They can demand higher prices because of their specialization. People want to hear expert advice, and they are willing to pay more for this kind of support.

The same can be applied to teachers. When teachers become specialists, such as “teacher who helps IT professionals,” they call their target niche by name and provide them with teaching exclusively to their needs!

This is the basic formula that allows teachers to command higher prices. Teachers can market to many students online (for free) via the internet.

Teachers work hard for a living and many are underpaid. It is now time for them to earn the price they truly deserve.

The Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge: My Experience

I took the Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge in June 2020 with 70 to 80 other teachers from around the globe.

I think it’s safe to say that I had no idea what I was signing up for. I thought I had a little extra time when I wasn’t blogging to try this challenge.

Some teachers choose to watch videos daily, but they are not interested in taking action yet. Other teachers actively completed the challenge in the 21 days by watching the videos and accomplishing the tasks.

I went all in and devoured all the live training and videos. I couldn’t wait to know what we would do the next day.

James became a mentor for all teachers and helped us work on our self-esteem, perfectionist demons, and many other things that may hold us back from achieving our business.

By the end of the 21-day challenge, one of the teachers had already got their first student, who paid them $600 upfront for 10 lessons!

It was exciting to see the payoff. Like myself, many other teachers had sessions booked with students where we talked and met with members of our niche to see if they were interested in joining our program.

The Results

It was a tough challenge, but I learned so much new information. It helped me see teaching from an entirely new perspective.

I also improved my self-confidence and took strides to establish a group of private students. I now earn up to $50 per hour for teaching online. I believe it was the confidence I gained from taking this course that helped me get to where I am today.

This invaluable course teaches you how to set up a teaching business from scratch. I know some teachers who are doing this as their full-time job and are on their way to creating a six-figure business!

After the challenge, you can join another group if you want to still stay with the other teachers. While some teachers continue the business on their own, many like to continue alongside other teachers who completed this course.

Some teachers who complete the challenge have students almost straight away, and some teachers take a little more time to adjust to this new method of teaching.

Everyone can take the challenge and do it at their own pace, and if it is something you like, you can keep going with it!

Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge Review and Recommendation

I really enjoyed the Teacher Entrepreneur Challenge.

I think this challenge is for driven individuals who want a change. Maybe you are tired of earning little from your teaching career and want to realize your true potential. The challenge will give you the information you need to succeed in landing your own teaching business in the shortest time possible. It also shows how you can really and truly help your students succeed and reach their English language learning goals.

I recommend this course because its content is well-planned and designed to give you everything you need to launch your teaching business.

James works very hard to help teachers succeed, and even if you are not good with computers, James shows you precisely what you need to do.

Conclusion

The truth is that YES: There are teachers out there making $100 or $200 per hour teaching online after completing James’ course.

There are so many language learners out there, and creating your own online teaching business is totally doable in this day and age with the advent of the internet.

However, like any business, you will need to put in the work. I recommend not quitting your regular job until you start seeing real results.

If you remain consistent, there is no reason why you can’t be successful. This applies to native and native-like English speakers.

If you are interested in changing your life to one where you are valued as a niche teacher, I highly recommend this course to get started! It goes above and beyond its course value.

Teach the English language online as an independent tutor. Increase your earning potential and work from anywhere in the world! Take me to the challenge.
